Dark Queen of Krynn
The Dark Queen of Krynn was launched as the third of the game series in the yeae 1992 The other two parts are Dragons Gold Box and Dragonlance Advanced Dungeons. SSI developed the game with the use of Gold Box Engine. Champions of Krynn preceded this game. Its sequel was Death Knight of Krynn (1991).
The game starts with the leap two years after the Death Knights of Krynn. General Laurana calls the characters of the game for investigating the evil creatures that are posing a threat to the city of Caergoth. The heroes travel to another distant continent of Krynn. This continent name is Taladas here the evils are hatching their plans to harm the city in different ways. For playing the game, the player needs to generate a six-character party. The Dark Queen of Krynn gameplay is similar to all other games of the series. The characters are also transferred from Death Knights of Krynn.
The play had a better combat level than its previous releases. There is very less time in the exploration mode. The background tone of the game was like that of an epic as the game showcases. The players encounter the Dark Goddess Takhisisat the end of the game. In terms of gameplay, the game is almost similar to its predecessor. It had improved graphics. Its Amiga version uses 16 colors. In this game, choosing the character’s combat icon is restricted. The player is given some pre-drawn icons. Different from the predecessor, here the arrow keys are not used for the selection of menu options. These options can be selected with the use of hotkeys or by clicking the menu option in the mouse.
