Description
Holiday Lemmings (specifically the 1993 edition) is a festive, standalone expansion of the original puzzle phenomenon. Developed by DMA Design
(who later became Rockstar North of GTA fame) and published by Psygnosis, it captures the holiday spirit with a mix of charm and high-stakes frustration. While there were
smaller "Christmas Lemmings" demos in '91 and '92, the 1993 version was a more substantial release that proved these suicidal rodents look great in Santa suits.
You must guide a specific percentage of Lemmings from the entrance to the exit. However, in this version, the Lemmings are dressed in Santa outfits, and the levels are
filled with snow, ice, Christmas trees, and lethal icicles. You have a limited supply of "jobs" to assign your Lemmings to overcome obstacles:
- Builders: To bridge snowy gaps.
- Bashers/Miners: To carve through candy canes and ice blocks.
- Blockers: To keep the herd from walking off a cliff.
- Floaters: To survive long falls using umbrellas.
