The NBA is one of the most viewed and loved league in the world. And bringing the classic rivalries of the 1980’s between Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics, the game Lakers vs Celtics and the NBA was made. Released in the year 1989 by electronic arts it was a third person view game. It was the first game which was endorsed by the NBA which was a massive reason for the game’s rise. One could play the game Lakers vs Celtics and the NBA against the computer or against another player as it supported multiplayer mode. If a player chooses to play against the computer he/she will be given two choices to either play an exhibition game or the playoffs. The duration of each halves could be tampered with as per the liking of the player. Battle between the east coast and west coast in the NBA has been ever present. The game featured eight teams, four from each of the two coasts. The east coast had Celtics, Bulls, Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks. The west coast had Lakers,Phoenix Suns, Seattle Supersonics and Utah Jazz. the game involved in it, the greats of Basketball namely Jordan, Bird, Kareem, Ewing and many more. The gameplay mainly focused on the offensive plays and players could be substituted as they get tired through the course of the game.
