Description
Revolution X (1994) is an infamous on-rails arcade light-gun shooter developed and published by Midway Manufacturing Company, best known for featuring the
legendary American hard rock band Aerosmith.
Originally released in arcades—where it featured a mounted arcade gun and impressive digitized graphics—it was subsequently ported to home platforms including
MS-DOS, Super Nintendo (SNES), Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, and Sony PlayStation.
Set in a dystopian "future" of 1996, a totalitarian regime known as the NON (New Order Nation) has taken over the world. Led by the ruthless Head Mistress
Helga, the NON bans all forms of youth culture, freedom of expression, television, video games, and rock music.
While attending a secret concert by Aerosmith at the "Club X" in Los Angeles, the venue is raided by NON troops.
The band members (Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, and Joey Kramer) are kidnapped mid-show. Playing as a fan armed with a heavy automatic
weapon, your mission is to fight through armies of NON forces across the globe, rescue all five band members, and restore freedom to society.
