Description
Tamper: The Game of "High-Impact Business" ...for shrewd investors! (1993), developed and published by Vorco Technologies, is a strategic stock
market and corporate takeover simulation for MS-DOS.
Because it is a non-linear business strategy and board-game simulation, it does not feature a traditional scripted narrative, main protagonist,
or linear storyline. Instead, the "plot" centers on the cutthroat world of high-stakes corporate investing and stock trading. Up to four human
or computer-controlled investors compete in a ruthless financial arena to amass the largest fortune.Players monitor a dynamic market where new
corporations continuously emerge, trade, merge, and collapse. The primary objective is to strategically buy low, sell high, and acquire
controlling shares in emerging companies to maximize profits.
True to the game's title, players do not have to rely solely on legitimate market trends; for the right price, they can actively "tamper" with
market forces and influence stock trajectories.
Through corporate sabotage, price manipulation, and shrewd financial maneuverings, players work to bankrupt their rivals and orchestrate hostile
takeovers. The overall goal of the game is to outmaneuver opposing traders, control the most lucrative business monopolies, and emerge as the
ultimate corporate tycoon.
