Goonies is a treat for all those who are fans of the movie by the same name. The storyline is roughly the same, where the player is on the mission to rescue his fellow mates captured by pirates. Like any adventure filled game, this too has its share of goons, enemies, kicks, and blows as well as a lot of brainstorming sessions.
The player here is Mikey who is set to free every Gooni. He is thus needed to collect all the three keys and one goonie to go to the next level. He can find the keys by blowing the doors using bombs. Here the enemies apart from humans are rats who are seen scurrying in between the game to fail the player's mission. The player needs to be vigilant and shrewd to kill all the enemies and rescue all his mates in time to reach the final stage i.e. the pirate ship. The rats are of three kinds, yellow, red and white where each can be killed using different tactics.
Kicking the red one thrice, yellow twice and the white rat once, the enemies can be killed. By collecting maximum diamonds as possible, the player can gain an extra life. Jake Fratelli like any other villain cannot be killed but can be frozen for a while making it easy for the player to get to the next level.
Goonies with its excellent story and sound makes it a must try game for all adventure lovers.
