The Raven Project

The Raven Project (1995) is a sci-fi action space combat game developed by French studio Cryo Interactive Entertainment and published by Mindscape. Released during the height of the 1990s Interactive Movie / FMV (Full Motion Video) boom, it was available for MS-DOS and PlayStation.
Set in a dystopian future, humanity has been conquered and enslaved by a ruthless alien race known as the Rakmoons. You play as Cal Mallow, a young resistance fighter. The human rebellion has been working on a secret counter-offensive weapon—a massive, advanced starship called the Raven. When the rebel base is attacked, Cal escapes in the Raven and must undertake a series of dangerous missions across space and various planets to rally forces, destroy key Rakmoon strongholds, and liberate Earth.
Cryo attempted to set The Raven Project apart by combining multiple gameplay styles across its two main campaign CDs:
Dogfighting against alien craft in open 3D space, similar to Wing Commander or X-Wing.
Piloting gunships and skimmers low over planetary surfaces to attack ground structures, canyons, and enemy defenses.
First-person ground sections where you pilot an armored walking mech through enemy bases, shooting alien soldiers and turrets.
