Terminator: Future Shock

The Terminator: Future Shock is a first-person shooter computer game released by Bethesda Softworks in 1995.
The game depicts Judgment Day as happening in 1995, then the setting jumps forward to Los Angeles in the year 2015. The gamer plays a human escaping entrapment by Terminators. After escaping hostile enemy territory in the first mission, the player meets with John Connor, the leader of the Resistance. From that point on, one plays as a Resistance fighter. Skynet's uprising in 1990 has left most of humanity dead, with control in Skynet's hands. All around is death and decay, scattered with remnants of a past society shattered.
Future Shock is played in the first person perspective at all times. Each level in the game requires the player to solve a number of objectives before continuing to the next level, while fighting enemy robots with a wide variety of guns and grenades. Another obstacle in each level is the harsh terrain, as many areas contain too much radiation for the player character to remain alive. The terrain is navigated in three ways, 'on foot', in a jeep with a mounted cannon, or in an Aerial Hunter-Killer.

4/18/2022 10:45:00 AM - Kavon Is this reliable? I'm not gonna get any viruses if I run this right?
9/12/2018 3:46:00 PM - Rich it was an amazing game for its time. but it run Buggy as hell lots of crashes and sometime it would not see the cd in the drive. and flat out not run. and this was when i got it new from the store back in the day. so but thats Bethesda Softworks for you cutting edge but buggy.

2/12/2015 4:42:00 AM - Nilex Man, I searched everywhere for this game manual but just couldn't find anything. It would be rather amazing if someone could help me out with a link. I can live without it but I'm kinda a collector I guess :) Tnx a bunch! @rob hamm Regarding the Milton Bishop error - try patching the game. Patch is 1.30, try finding it via google. Put the 516 KB file next to the game exe and run it from DosBox. I had no errors in bishop level.
12/13/2014 6:57:00 AM - rob hamm I was able to run a version of this game that came as an ISO (found it with google)that has skynet and dosbox already set up in it. I run it on win vista with few problems. The only issue is end of level crashes (2) and these were fixed by temporarily setting the detail level to low with 640 x480 resolution until you get a little past the crash point and then setting it back up to high. Future shock still has the unfixable milton bishop error, but with the ISO version you can use the "Illbeback" code to get the end of level flag and keep on playing.
3/29/2014 8:43:00 PM - Ryan All: To decrease cpu emulation speed (slow down the game), just hit ctrl+F11. ctrl+F12 will speed it up. This is especially useful in playing the old arcade games that had speed differences in the actual arcade machines, and the platform versions.
1/20/2014 4:48:00 PM - Hitzuja The file is corrupted.
11/24/2013 9:28:00 PM - Konian Did you know that you can enter buildings with door textures on them? just hit the activate button that you set in the options menu when facing a door! it should jump cut to another room.
8/26/2013 8:53:00 AM - George I had no problem about the game running too fast. However our version has set "cycles=45000", this might help. You just have to find this line in dosbox.conf file and change it. You can google some tutorials for that. You can also use some hotkeys to slow the game down. You will find them in dosbox manual, I don't know the exact keys but it will be something like CTRL+ALT+F?.
8/25/2013 9:22:00 PM - Chewy1015 Nevermind, I found out how to do that part and yes, it worked. I just have kinda this newer problem, and that is the game is played super fast. I know the game was never originally this fast. How do I slow it down?
8/25/2013 9:06:00 PM - Chewy1015 I didn't and I've never even heard of that. I've installed other games from CD on DOSBox and never had to do that. How do I go about the whole "-t cdrom" thing?
8/25/2013 10:10:00 AM - George Hi, have you tried to mount the CD with "-t cdrom" parameter ? Otherwise even original CD gets mounted as HDD.
8/25/2013 9:58:00 AM - Chewy1015 I have a bit of a problem, and it's something I don't quite understand. I actually have the CD copy of the game and I have DOSBox. I copied all the files from the CD to a new folder in the hard drive, then I used DOSBox to install the game, mounting both the C drive and the new folder with the copied CD files as the D drive. I go to install the game. The game installs beautifully. I go to set up sound, sound is set up wonderfully. Finally, I then go to start the game and it tells me that it can't read the CD and that I need to put the CD in. The thing is, the D drive is still mounted to the new folder with the copied CD files. I then go to unmount it and then mount the D drive to the actual disc drive on my computer, thinking that would take care of it. It doesn't. Are any of you familiar with this situation and if so, do y'all know of the solution? I will say that it is on a Windows 8 64-bit laptop with an i7 processor, though none of that should mean anything.
