Ascaron was a computer game company headquartered in Gütersloh, Germany. The company was founded in 1991 under the name Ascon by Holger Flöttmann and developed entertainment software for the German market for 18 years, with games franchises like Patrician, Port Royale, ANSTOSS (On the Ball) and Sacred. Later it also became known for its publishing and distribution activities. In August 2001 the company went into administration for the first time. However, the reestablishment of the company keeping all IPRs and brands made it possible for Ascaron to continue its operative business and to survive. In July 2002, Ascaron expanded by opening a wholly-owned subsidiary, Studio II Software in the University City, Aachen (Germany) and in September 2002, the first international office, Ascaron Entertainment (UK) Ltd. with its main office in Birmingham, was founded.

Team F1 a totally realistic simulation of running a Grand Prix team.
Featuring staggering depth and enormous attention to detail, Team F1 gives you complete control over every aspect of the finance, sponsorship, mechanics, engineers, designers, pitcrew, car, drivers and race strategy. Team morale, fitness and commitment is in your hands, it is so much more than getting the fastest car. The Race:
Each element of the race is shown in as much detail as you'd like. You can test the car for as long as you desire, all the time getting driver feedback over the radio mic. Qualifying is about getting the optimum performance from your tyres and fuel load and the race can be viewed in three different speed modes, the most comprehensive of which gives you a full televisual 3D polygon display featuring a complete spoken commentary.
