Star Wars Chess

Star Wars Chess is as the name suggests at the core a game of chess. In this version of chess the normal chess pieces are replaced by characters from the Star Wars universe. In the game to make things more interesting when a piece is taken the game shows an animated fight, just like in Battle Chess. All the major characters of the Star Wars universe are shown as cartoon form in the game. When a piece is taken, the fight is shown in a separate window that shows a zoomed in version of the fight. The fight scenes are usually standard with each character except for the bigger pieces like a fight between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Considering the chess as part of Star Wars Chess, the game has a two player option as well as a single player option with many difficulty levels. The game can be adjusted for faster game playing experience. The game is a very fun version of a cross between Star Wars and chess and can be enjoyed just for its chess strategy. The game has good production value and the game is more exciting to play than a standard chess game. The game also allows a player to switch sides to make things more interesting. The game requires a dual rate CO-ROM to run effectively on a PC.
