Description
Quick Majik Adventure (often known simply as Majik or Majik Adventure) is an obscure 1991 MS-DOS shareware fantasy role-playing game developed and published by
Neurosport. Neurosport was a small indie/shareware development team founded in Rowlett, Texas, by Bob Kemp and Faron Wickey in the early 1990s. They specialized in
tile-based shareware RPGs. Over their active years, Neurosport created a handful of niche DOS games, including Majik (1991), Antkill (1992), Bob's Dragon Hunt (1992),
and Crystal Deception (1992).
The game uses a top-down grid perspective with simple tile graphics reminiscent of early rogue-likes and top-down computer RPGs. Like many shareware PC titles of the
early 90s, the version distributed across Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) and shareware disks (Quick Majik Adventure) acted as an expanded demo/teaser to encourage players
to mail-order the full registered version. Players explore tile-mapped environments (dungeons, wilderness), gather equipment, interact with basic NPCs, and engage in
turn-based combat against fantasy monsters.
