    Description
On an exploratory journey in Egypt, you visit the pyramids and wander into the tomb of King Mut.
Unfortunately, you get swarmed by mummies and you have no weapons and you see no escape on the horizon.
But lucky for you, the tomb is littered with deep pits.

Can you use that to your advantage and hopefully live to tell the story? MUMMIES follows the dilemma
of an explorer who is about to be overrun by mummies. His only tool in the game is to find a way to
maneuver them into the pits.

This is only possible because your player can move one space in any direction while the mummies can
only move vertically and horizontally. The mechanism of this game is turn-based, there’s no action,
no weapons, no jumps, and no combat. All you can do is strategize to lead these mummies into the pits
where they can’t bother you or kill you.

Don’t expect much with regards to graphics. Your player is a green pixelated dot while the mummies
are grey dots. That seems to be a representation of who is alive and who is dead. You have an overhead
view of the entire tomb and you can see your location, the mummies, and the pits to lead them to.

However, the gameplay and the mental prowess required to overcome these mummies make up for the
lackluster graphics of the game. MUMMIES was developed by Iain Brown and it was released in the
United States in 1986. It’s available on Dos.
