Jesus Matchup is a DOS-basedboard memory game. Released by Godly games, the game has a simple top-down look and uses both keyboard and pointer. It increases the short-term memory of a player who has to recall subtle religious moral displayed on anonymous cards. The game is a very simple one supporting single player and multiplayer modes up to three players. There is no sharing of screens. Basically, three players have to play in a single system. In Jesus Matchup, a player has to remember the pictures in the cards and match the identical cards. When two selected cards match, ‘Jesus Matchup’ turns into ‘Jesus is Lord’ and the matched cards change color from deep-red to green, blue or light red. In the end, the player with the maximum number of cards wins. The number of cards matched is shown according to the colors. Religious education is involved at the beginning of the game where all the cards are explained with proper context in a matchbox. The pictures in the cards represent stories of moral from the life of Jesus. Jesus matchup is part of a 4-part concentration series on the Bible and teachings of Jesus. This game is proper to make religious education interesting and fun for children. The game doesn’t involve any content which is offensive to any other religion as the morals displayed are universal in nature. However, the game is very good for mental exercise.
