Harold's Mission

Harold's Mission is an action and adventure game developed by ART4 Comp Group. The game was released in 1995 in Poland and runs on the DOS platform. Harold’s mission is alternatively known as Misja Harolda and the game language is Polish.
The player takes control of Harold, who looks like an older model of a Robot. Harold is an accomplished assassin who has been tasked with getting rid of Virus, who has been raising havoc in the world of pixels. The game takes place in a make-believe fantasy world inside a computer. The landscape changes from dark and deserted to vibrant and colorful as the game progresses, almost mirroring the real world. The game starts with an introduction to the world of the pixels and recounts their many accomplishments in recent years. Due to their immense success, other systems felt threatened and established an organization to conquer the Pixel system. To accomplish their goal, they recruited the nastiest looking Virus who calls himself ‘the bandit of the system’. The virus takes over and starts destroying everything pixels have built over the years.
Instead of going down quietly, the pixels decide to fight back. They gathered the last remnants of their wealth and hired the best hitman to defeat the Virus. Equipped with a gun and wearing a cowboy hat, Harold looks like a robot cowboy on a mission. After a lengthy introduction, the game finally begins where the player needs to guide Harold towards destroying the impact of the virus and restoring the Pixel world back to its original glory. A special feature of the game is conversation with dialogue options. A wrong choice could end the game.
