Description
Pac-in-Time, released in 1993 (and 1994 for the DOS version), is one of the most unique and experimental titles in the Pac-Man franchise. Developed by the French
studio Atreid Concept (later known as Kalisto), it’s not a maze game at all—it’s a physics-based puzzle-platformer.
What most people don't know is that it’s actually a "re-skin" of a game called Fury of the Furries. Namco liked the gameplay so much they licensed it and swapped
the original characters for Pac-Man!
The plot is classic 90s weirdness: Pac-Man’s arch-nemesis, the Ghost Witch, casts a spell that transports him back in time to when he was a youngster. To return to the
present, Pac-Man must navigate through over 50 levels across various time periods, including forests, mountains, and castles.
Your objective in each level is simple to state but difficult to execute. You must find and eat a specific number of yellow pellets scattered throughout the level. Once you’ve eaten
enough pellets, a "Sign" or door will activate. You must reach it before the timer runs out to move to the next stage. You have to avoid ghosts, spikes, water, and
bottomless pits while managing your limited health.
Your goal in this jumping arcade is to reach the castle and deliver the king from the usurpers clutches, first of all you must make your way through the eight regions
of 'Sklumph' to leave each screen you must find the way out, always marked 'Exit'.
