Description

FX Fighter (1995) is a landmark 3D fighting game developed by UK-based Argonaut Software Ltd. and published by GTE Entertainment for MS-DOS.
It was one of the earliest fully 3D, texture-mapped fighting games created specifically for the PC, attempting to bring the arcade thrills of Sega's Virtua Fighter and Namco's Tekken to home computers without requiring expensive hardware accelerators.
Eight alien combatants are forced into an intergalactic tournament by an almighty entity named Riktus, who demands the champions fight for the ultimate prize: the survival of their home planet.
Features 8 distinct playable fighters representing different alien species plus two unplayable boss characters.
Fights take place in 3D arenas across 8 different alien planets, complete with ring-outs, camera rotation, special moves, and fatal finisher moves reminiscent of Mortal Kombat.
