Block Man 1 is a puzzle game published by Soleau Software in 1994. It is a single player challenging puzzle game. The game weighs more on the difficult side, therefore will be difficult for children’s to play further the first few levels. The game has a story behind it. A king named Triangulos was the ruler of the kingdom of Bentangle. He loved blocks since his childhood and continued loving them as much as his daughter the Princess Pentaguin. To ensure that the princess marries someone worthy, the king builds rooms which require extreme cleverness in shifting the blocks and escaping from each room. The winner who completes the puzzle will be chosen as the match for the princess. A character named Block man who is a commoner in the kingdom wishes to marry princess purely out of love.
The player controls Block-man 1 who is surrounded by red blocks and flaming torches which represents a room. Block-man has to overcome walls and pits to exit the rooms and advance into the next level. Every room has an exit and Block-man’s objective will be to get out of the room. Block-man can move only in certain directions by moving the only resource available- bricks. He can move right, left, pick up or drop blocks, jump one step and also falls from any height. He can move only one brick at a time. The game has a total of 17 levels. The shareware version of the game has 10 levels. You can playfull games by registering. On paying a further fee, you will get a constructor option that will allow you to create levels and play them and the games of other game owners. The graphics of Block-Man 1 are not great. The sound effects are a bit irritating and it is better to play in mute mode.
