There's a tricky mission for you to carry out on Kaiser, the principal planet of the Methik system. You are a top member of Sersec {Imperial Secret Service}. The Methik system is an independent enclave on the frontiers of the Empire, north of the Arm of Sagittarius.
An imperial embassy is about to open in Shade, the capital of Kaiser. Your colleague Dale, who is also a dear friend, has already been there a week. Her preliminary report was very pessimistic about the local political situation.
On Kaiser, power is in the hands of a corrupt despot called Konrad Lonasi who takes a cut for himself on all the planet's economic activities. He manipulates his opponents cleverly, using the old divide and conquer tactic.
The Techno Lodge, whose huge robot controlled factory is the nerve centre of Shade, is undergoing serious internal problems. The Rachnouist Church, which is the planet's main religion, is being persecuted by the authorities.
These two factions detest each other, and the only thing that unites them is their hatred of Lonasis's army. But the army has just been shaken by rumours of a plot.
Will its commander, General Massadeh, overthrow Lonasi?
At the start of the game you have an appointment with Dale in the centre of Shade, at the Centaurians Bar...
After the credits you find yourself inside the mother ship patrolling above the planet.
