Interplay Productions, Inc. was founded in Southern California in 1983 with Brian Fargo as president, and three programmers, Jay Patel, Troy Worrell and Bill Heineman. They released many hit games over the course of the 90's including Earthworm Jim, Fallout 1 & 2 and baldurs gate before going bankrupt in 2005.
They resurfaced in 2007, but most of their intellectual property has been sold off, most notably the sale of the Fallout licence to Bethesda.
