Everything You Need to Know About Old School RuneScape

Old School RuneScape, based upon the hit game that once overtook middle school computer labs by a virtual storm. The game would be given a major overhaul, one that is actually planning to come to the phone as well, at least according to game developer, Jagex. However, for right now, Old School is only available as a public beta release on Android devices. It is estimated that Apple devices should be getting this later in the summer.

However, there are some conditions to consider. One of the first is that only people who have a RuneScape membership will be eligible to enjoy the beta. Jagex will also be placing a cap on how many individuals download Old School RuneScape to their phone. While the game is still in the testing phase, Jagex does not want to risk being overloaded by what one can only imagine as a wave of curiosity and nostalgia.

As the game stabilizes, Jagex will surely open up more installs as time goes on. In fact, if all goes well, one could expect to see more spots open up within the week. From that point on, the number of players will continue in increments.

Sadly, for the time being, Apple users are going to be left out of the mix simply due to issues with the iOS build. Jagex is hard at work to ensure that Apple users will be able to get to enjoy the fun as soon as possible. At the time of this writing, it is estimated that Apple users will be able to take part in the process during the summer.

If you are one of the lucky Android users to get involved in the process, we have a few tips you will want to follow.

Enjoy Your Feminine Side

One of the worst things about any type of RPG game is the consistent grinding. Old School RuneScape perhaps has the most skills all rooted in individual levels, which can make this one of the grindiest games in the arena. Our first piece of advice involves trying to leave the grinding out of the mix. One of the best ways to do that is by creating a female character. In the game, as a female character you receive an exclusive quest at the start on Tutorial Island. The quest offers you "Recruitment Drive," which will give you a nice early boost at the beginning of the game which should curb some early grinding. If you really want to begin the game as a male, you can eventually change genders by paying some gold. Visit this website to purchase gold.

Finding the Easy Way Out

One way to avoid so much grinding is by seeking out some of the early quests that offer huge stat boosts as a reward. One of the more popular ones in the game is known as "Waterfall Quest". By simply completing this quest you will be rewarded enough XP to advance a whopping 30 levels. You can find this quest at Baxtorian Falls. Another great on is "The Knight's Sword" for a great prize. You will only need 10 mining to complete it and it will give out enough XP to reach Smithing level 29. There are several other quests in the game that can be easily found.

Bully Your Way to The Top

If you are not all about doing fetch quests, we have the top monster to find. If you head north of Rellekka, you will find the Rock Crab on a barren beach. This tough guy has a heck of a lot of HP, but is not really going to fight you. With that in mind, you can hit him repeatedly to raise up your combat level without much risk to your own life.
