War diary is a strategy game which is real-time in nature. 16th century Korean is used as a background in this game. The war is for supremacy position between the two rival armies. Wood, food, and metal are 3 resources that form a part of the economic system. These resources are used to form troops or construct buildings. The spare resources can be sold for purchasing new resources using the money. City hallmarks the center of the base and eleven other buildings will be built in the radius marked using this center.
Barracks play a very important role in this game from the fighting point of view. Soldiers are trained here and equipped via the weapon factory. After the training, each soldier is sent to the weapon factory for the available three jobs: melee fighter, shooter or artillery. Depending on costs and effectivity, there are different quality weapons based on settings. Degraded weapons need to be replaced regularly. Soldiers are equipped with weapons required at the wartime.
Different groups are formed out of the troops in the war diary. The duration of health and weapons durability although has to be at an individual level for the soldiers. Watchtowers, monks, and ships from the other units, each one with different ability. The monks do supporting the troops and invoking the ghosts. Watchtowers are used to watch the fighting with enemies, which help to improve the abilities of the troops.
