Bubble Bus Software was a publisher of video game software for home computers in the mid-1980s, founded by Mark Meakins and based in Tonbridge, Kent. Their releases targeted popular home computers of the time, such as the Commodore 64, VIC-20 and ZX Spectrum. Their most notable releases were Starquake and Wizard's Lair, both written by Stephen Crow. Wizard's Lair was notable for its similarity to both Atic Atac and Sabre Wulf.

Description

The main protagonist of Starquake is BLOB a Bio Logical Operated Being. The BLOB is sent into unstable planets with the task of making sure that the planets do not explode. The game involves collecting items at various locations. The combination of items to be collected from different planets, and then these items has to be taken to the planet's core to stabilize the planet. Starquake is a type of arcade gaming adventure. The game has a side view with a 512 screen in a 16 by 32 pattern. The game has a central teleportation system that requires codes to get from one part of the game to another or from one part of the galaxy to another. The game has a number of levels and with each level, the BLOB has to face off against creatures that get more and more intelligent and unpredictable as the BLOB moves towards the center of the planet. BLOB is armed with guns to help fight them. It is also possible for the BLOB to dodge the creatures. The player has a set of time-limited use platforms that allow the player to move vertically up or down.The game is enormous and the puzzles are clever and require intuitive control. The game has great music and is fun to play. The game has the character, Steve Crow from the game Wizards Lair. It begins with the BLOB crash landing on the planet then the mission begins on a timer and requires the BLOB to rebuild the planet's core before it bursts into million pieces that can cause a disastrous chain reaction called as starquake that will blow up the entire universe if not prevented.
