Description

The game was programmed by Edward T. Ordman, a mathematics and computer science professor. At the time, early personal computing was heavily driven by academics and hobbyists writing code for fun and submitting it to magazines. Creative Computing Software curated these programs, put them on 5.25-inch floppy disks, and sold them in ziplock baggies with photocopied manuals.
It was a straightforward, text/character-based arcade game where you controlled a ship at the bottom of the screen.
Space debris and meteors (represented by basic text characters or blocky colored shapes) cascaded down the screen.
Your goal was simply to dodge or shoot them down using keyboard inputs before they struck your ship. To hit you a meteor needs to get within the shaded area.
