A platform game in DOS based on the characters from “Jungledrynet”. Jack is a mystic ape-like creature who lives in the jungles of India with his monkey friends. The strange creature gets haunted, by a rich woman who sends thugs after Jack. When Jack gets captured by the wicked woman, he escapes into the city where he is faced with many predators like cats and other hazards. The game is about overcoming these with the help of a good fox named Rita and getting to a boat, which will lead Jack to his home in the jungle. The game is actually a modified obstacle course where Jack has to avoid the hazards in the search for home. The player has to keep jack moving, avoid electricity lines and collect food to keep the energy level of Jack high. Jungle Jack is unique because of its fine cartoon graphics. The cartoon drawing is carefully integrated with a smooth interface. The aesthetics do a fine job to give a real-time cartoon show experience. The game is viewed in a 2-D side-scrolling mode with both keyboard and mouse functions. The game was released by Sweatbox Animation, Denmark. The Jungle Jack is a very interesting game as the creators have not repeated any part of the graphics hence reimagining the movie. For arcade game hunters, Jungle Jack is definitely a showpiece.
