Hammer of the Gods
Don’t we all have the dream to someday get the opportunity to save the world as well as build an empire? Hammer of the Gods makes the same possible for the player, wherein the task is to build an empire following the rules as specified in the Norse Mythology.
The game begins with the player controlling one town and on the quest to control one of the four races which include: humans, elf, dwarf, and troll. After clearing each goal, the player is rewarded by the god which can either consist of military units, higher incomes or flying ships amongst many others. The game can be played in two layouts one set in the era of Vikings and other consisting of a computer-generated map which will keep changing after every campaign.
The goal of the player is to expand his territory to the maximum, for which he can choose the path of peace, be neutral or wage a war. In the case of war, it is not possible for the units to attack anybody other than the adjacent ones but can use wizards and archers who can attack from anywhere. To add to the adventure, the players are offered to select a god of their choice from the tree of the pantheon to meet their goals.
Hammer of the Gods is coupled with excellent conceptualization, graphics and enticing screenplay making it brainstorming as well as energy kicking game for players who someday wish to build their own empire.
