Description

Dots is a strategy game for two to four players. The object of the game is to capture as many squares on the board as possible by either cloning a piece or moving and capturing, or to have the most points at the end of the game.
To play Dots, you first must have at least two players, either or both of which can be human or computer. The maximum number of players is four. You can move any piece of your color to any other unoccupied square, by using one of two methods. Method one is Cloning. If you move a piece to any adjacent square, the piece will be duplicated, giving you two pieces. If you move two squares away, the piece itself is moved, and you do not duplicate the piece. To capture another player's piece, simply move one of your pieces to one of the eight squares surrounding the other player's piece. When you move into an unoccupied square, all pieces in the surrounding eight squares will change to your color. If at any time during the game, you are wiped off the board, this is known in the DOTS world as a "SKUNK", and you will lose all rights guaranteed you by the Constitution.
