Description

Castle of the Winds is a two part graphical adventure game, loosely based on fantasy role playing games, and drawing much inspiration from Norse mythology. Part two concerns the character's efforts to fulfill his or her destiny. To do this, the character must defeat Surtur and recover the stolen Helm of Storms from his possession. Along the way, of course, he or she will be opposed by deadly monsters and traps, but will find treasure and enchanted objects to aid his or her quest.

11/2/2023 7:04:00 AM - Jamus You can run the game in browser by pressing any key to get past the error messages until you get to the program manager. Choose File, Run, navigate to c:\Game\Castle2 and choose Castle2.exe. Note that in browser your saves aren't really saved if you close the browser, and you therefore cannot import a save from part 1 of the game. (You can play Part 2 without part 1.)

12/31/2021 6:19:00 PM - CoralCopperHead The Win3.1 installation is missing critical files, causing the program manager to be completely empty. This is also an issue in Part 1.

11/6/2014 7:29:00 AM - RossmanElectronika Hi Folks, to find the CotW save and port to CotW2, find the AppData/Roaming/AppClient folder. The files should be within the DosBox directory from there. That folder can be tough to find, so I keep a shortcut on my desktop permanently. Good luck!

1/22/2014 6:12:00 PM - stephen qw Game is a little glitchy in full screen mode. Works normally when not in full screen as far as sleeping/mana restoration and selling items in inventory

1/22/2014 10:48:00 AM - FreeGameEmpire You will probably have to copy the file manually. Search for "Packages" folder on your C drive. There will be both COTW and COTW2 folders. Unfortunately our applet cannot copy files from game to game automatically right now. But we plan to implement this function in the future.
