Panzer General
Panzer General is a classic PC video game, which was released in the year 1994. The story of the game revolves around the time of World War II in which the player controls massive battles with the post of a general.
As the game begins, the player has to choose whether he wished to play as an individual or to participate in campaigns. The objective of the player is to fight with the enemies and to defeat crucial landscapes such as the cities, battlefields and other things of great use. The number of rounds is limited. For every mission, there are three types of results, which are possible: a chief victory, a secondary victory, and defeat. The chief victory is achieved when the player wins several rounds. On the contrary, secondary victory can be gained when the player wins a single battle. When the player faces a chief victory, the player gets some more challenging objectives. On the contrary, when the player experiences secondary victory, the player gets less challenging objectives. Whereas, if the player faces defeat, he can restart the game. A helpful feature of the game is that the player can take some of his units to the next level.
The Panzer General is a well-known game of that time and one of the best combat games. The game fits exactly in its genre. The game is packed with action and thrill. The combats in the game are exciting. The sound is done well which creates the environment in the game. Also, the graphics are smooth and fine.
In addition to this, the units are made lively and also, the interface of the user is interactive and proficient, which adds fun to the game.

Great Game, one of the first war games I played on my Pentium 64 back in the day. It is still fun.
Excellent game in its day. Bought it and later Panzer General 2. Great to be able to play it again. As a review pointed out no counter attack etc. Neither does chess.
People who slag this game off as a poor tactical game didn't do their research. At the time of this game's release there were plenty of grognard level war games put out by SSI and others. The whole point of Panzer General and the (insert adjective here) General series was to create a faster moving war that could bring in new players and a quicker game. This game does exactly what it was designed to do and does it so well that it inspired direct sequels and host of followup games (Fantasy General, Star General, etc) as well.
When you review things without the context, you are doing gamers and the game a disservice. It was designed for a specific purpose and does it well. It's like reviewing a hammer and downgrading it because it's not a screwdriver.
