This game was the perfect blend of the best strategy games out at the time. Civilization, Warlords, and Master of Orion are some of the best turn based games ever made. Master of Magic uses elements of all three yet surpasses them all.

I will always love this game. I still play it, have played it since it was new. I love it! If I ever make serious money I will self-fund a rebuild of this in an open source language.

I loved X-COM since it came out, saw that people who played my game also played this, so i tried it and WOW, it is truely a fantastic game. I love love loved it. Played as Warlord with 4 books life, 4 books chaos. I think my heros were overpowered, cause it was more like them questing along rather than an empire dominating.

Is there a way to change a spell currently researched? I see the Apprentice shows the spell but I cant figure out how to change it.

I was 13 when I got this game, and today as I sit here sick and off work, it's helping me get through some difficult times. Definately the greatest game of all time, along with UFO Defence.

By far this is the best game developed on DOS. Brings back fun memories.
