Lode Runner

Lode Runner is a graphic animation based platform video game released in 1983. There are in total 150 levels, which the player has to complete heading through a lot of blocks and trouble on his way. The player is required to control a stick figure and collect all the gold at the same time avoiding the guards who are on the verge of catching you. You can dig holes on the sides and not directly beneath where the player is standing in order to trap the guards. The guards may come of the trap and appear in the upper level of the brick sequence. But do be careful.Unlike the guards, if the player gets trapped he will not be able to make it out of the trap. In order to get to the next level, the player has to touch the upper screen and he will be transferred to the next level where his quest for collecting gold begins again. The player needs to be careful while climbing the bricks as there may be hidden holes which can land the player as well as the guard to the base of the ladder, with the completion of each level, an extra life will be added to the kitty. Lode Runner uses simple graphics and satisfactory sound effects. A warning note, be careful when you fall into the pit as there is no escape and it will only cost you a life.
