The company continued to extend the ranks of their games with more titles until it was eventually acquired by Electronic Arts who continue to improve the most popular games series.

Description
Dune 2 is an old PC game in which the player needs to control spice in order to control the destiny of the cosmos. Spice is the most precious thing in the entire cosmos which is found only on the Arrakis planet which is also called as Dune.
At the beginning of the game, the player needs to choose from the given three houses, Atreides, Harkonnen, and the Ordos, from whose behalf he wants to play the game. The story of the game and the adventures are different in the three houses. The Harkonnen group is stronger but slower than the Atreides group. In the game, the player needs to fight the other houses and gather spices. Each adventure contains animated actions and CGI settings. Also, a remarkable feature is the entrance of John Rhys-Davies as a mentor of the Atreides group.
In the missions, the player needs to build a headquarter on the rocky terrain and not on any other landscape. This will render the headquarters with a strong base, and cannot be destroyed easily. When the player lays his headquarter, he needs to garner the spice and study the map.
Moreover, a continuous menace for your vehicles will be the round sandworm. Sandworms are huge beings that travel in the sands of Dune and can eat up even heavy and big vehicles. Therefore, the player needs to park his vehicles in a safe place so that the worm does not engulf the vehicles and hide the vehicles whenever he sees those worms approaching towards them.
Dune 2 consists of several complicated stages and all the stages have their own ease and difficulties. The game provides an exciting game plan and the music and graphics are done well.

Just to get this out of the way, this game has absolutely nothing to do with the video game Dune (1). Dune 2 was the first real-time strategy game I'd ever played. It drew me in with the references to the Dune series of novels by Frank Herbert and kept my interest with the fun of the game. Unfortunately, as RTS games go, it has not stood the test of time not because of graphics, but because of gameplay. Basic features you might look for in an RTS are not in this game. You cannot select multiple units, there are no shortcut keys, you cannot quickly tell a unit whether to go to an area or attack it. There is also a crippling limit on how many units can be on the map at once. Still, it's a blast from the past and worth playing if you can forgive these issues.
