Aquanox is an action shooter that takes place in the future where all the world population lives underwater. Fighting in the underwater world is not simple, in your various missions, you will encounter the rebels, pirates and even mutants.
The story has a very extensive background and the game itself will introduce you to a wonderful underwater world. With wonderful graphics, even by nowadays standards, everything has been made to make you feel how an underwater life would be, including floating seaweed, outstanding lighting effects and explanations about the scientific terms you will encounter in the game.
Nothing seems to hold your hero to life : he spent his life with his recently died grand-mother, because his mother died in his early childhood and his father went away to discover the oceans, and he is the only captain of his grandmother's freighter, wandering in the oceans. But his destiny changes when he's traped by a false SOS call, and loose the control of his freighter. He's now a sailor to the people who get his ship, and has to serve their cause that is about to change the whole aqua world...
