Good old games to buy
From now, we also bring you good old games which are still
sold for a reasonable prices. Those games are marked with a money icon
and price. To browse only the free games, check "Only free and
downloadable games" checkbox in the search box on the top of this page. To buy a game, use a "Buy" button in the game detail page.

Manuals and soundtracks support added.
When a Manual or Soundtrack is available, the buttons will be available on the game site.

Game catalog major revision
I have done a major revision of our game catalog. The reason is, the number of games, which are being sold again is rising and we cannot longer provide them for free. I have added links, where you can officially buy those games for your better comfort. The good news about this is, that those games can be bought for a very low prices and support new Windows distributions.
FreeGameEmpire DO NOT sell those games just links to the official distributor.

There were issues with IE10. Most notably our users were unable to page trough games. This issue should be now fixed. Please contact our support if issue still persists.

We apologize for the blackout yesterday. We had a DNS issue. The problem was caused by a domain provider and was fixed within few hours.

We have added support for old Windows abandonware games (Win3.1, Win95). Windows games cannot be played directly from your browser with our application, but must be downloaded and run manually. Windows games don't have a "Run NOW" button.

All games of Your interest are now located in My Games menu. When You choose to play a game, it will
be automatically transferred to Your My Games. It simplifies the access to your favorite games for You.

Site redesign - Top 10 widgets
We have placed Top 10 and Recently Added games widgets on the main site. Therefore the information about any new games is no longer needed in a news channel.
The news channel will be restricted to a site related news and the recently added games can be viewed anytime in the Recently Added widget.
